5K Race Clock

Race Timing
The race clock screens are designed for fast use during a race: large elapsed time, split buttons, athlete ordering, projections, recording controls, local session saving, and support for quick hardware input.
These are the primary controls operators use during a live race.

| Start / Pause | Starts the race clock or asks for confirmation before pausing an active timing session. |
| Hit 1 Mile Now | Captures a 1-mile split tap and stores it in the 1-mile tap history. |
| Hit 2 Mile Now | Captures a 2-mile split tap and stores it in the 2-mile tap history. |
| Order | Counts race places that belong to other teams so assigned-athlete placement stays accurate. |
| Taps & Order | Opens the tap history where split rows can be assigned, deleted, or edited. |
| Save/Finish | Saves the session CSV and recordings, then clears the clock for the next race. |
| Change Time | Long-press caution control for manually aligning the official start time when devices must sync offline. |
Tap history is where the raw race taps become athlete-specific results. A split can be assigned to an athlete, assigned an order number, or deleted.
Unassigned splits are kept locally for editing, but they should not be uploaded as blank athlete results.
The tap history can show the score for the top five assigned athletes by adding their order placements.
When the app is open, device volume controls can speed up race capture.

| 1-mile lock | When Mile 1 is locked, hardware split controls move to the 2-mile marker. |
In multiple-device mode, assign each device to the split it captures. The inactive split panel is minimized so the operator can stay focused on the active checkpoint.
