Indoor competition is optional β€” but consistent training is required to be entered in events.

πŸ‹οΈβ€β™‚οΈ Lifting Expectations βŒ„

Lifting is available for everyone. Our goal is a minimum of twice per week.

Holiday weeks may reduce lifting time, but adjustments will be made when possible.

πŸš— Transportation & Fees βŒ„
  • No school transportation to indoor meets.
  • Occasional van transport possible, not guaranteed.
  • Entry fees are NOT covered by the school.
  • Booster Club pays up front β€” reimbursement required.
  • Missed payments = removal from event.
  • Please notify me 10 days prior if plans change.
🏟️ Akron University Open Track Nights βŒ„
  • Athletes may attend individually β€” you pay the $20.
  • No Copley coach required; Akron staff supervises.
  • If 15 athletes commit, the TEAM will attend and pay.
πŸƒβ€β™‚οΈ Event Groups βŒ„
  • Distance: Individual plans; mostly on your own.
  • Sprints: 2–3 days/week once mats roll out.
  • Jumps: Akron only; no indoor Copley facility.
  • Hurdlers: Train with sprinters; Akron only option.
  • Throws: Akron is our only winter option.

State qualification requires representing the school.
Club/unattached marks do NOT count.
