🟦💛 Copley Girls Qualify for Regionals – Second Straight Year! 💛🟦
For the second year in a row, the Copley Girls Cross Country Team has earned a trip to the OHSAA Regional Championships, continuing to build on the program’s growing legacy.
Leading the way once again was freshman phenom Kaylee Ingratta, who captured the District Championship in dominant fashion — finishing 1st overall in 19:25 at the Lorain County Community College course. Her performance set the tone for an incredible team effort.
Behind her, Ava Capper (56th), Claire Ingersoll (66th), Sienna Harris (89th), Anna Eby (108th), Leah Habel (111th), and Lily Church (113th) battled through the field to secure Copley’s second consecutive regional berth. Each athlete’s determination and consistency were key to pushing the team into the next round.
The girls’ qualification marks another step forward for the program — showing how hard work, depth, and belief can carry a team beyond expectations. The squad now turns its focus to the Boardman Regional Meet, where they’ll look to make more Copley history.
